FAQs
How will I know if I need an egg donor?
As a woman ages and the amount of potential problems with eggs increases, diagnostic tests can be used to help estimate “ovarian aging” by measuring two blood hormones: Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH). An older woman or one exhibiting premature ovarian aging may consider the use of donor eggs.
What evaluations do potential donor egg recipients undergo?
Both you and your partner (if applicable) need to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, the female needs a full evaluation of her uterine lining, while the male will require a semen analysis and semen culture. Finally, any female or male patient utilizing an egg donor will be required to meet with our psychologist.
Who can donate her eggs?
IVFMD requires extensive testing and evaluations for any woman interested in donating her eggs. You can learn more about IVFMD’s egg donation program and criteria here.
